Module Description

The Our Father stands at the centre of the Sermon on the Mount in the Gospel of Matthew and sheds much light on how the evangelist understands the life and ministry of Jesus and what this means for those would follow him. In this module we are going to use the Our Father as a way of understanding major themes in the Gospel focusing on the Kingdom as God’s will for the world. Matthew is the Gospel for the Sundays of this year and the module will nourish all who seek to deepen their appreciation of the Gospels and the Sunday liturgy.

Sean Goan, BA, BD, LSS is a Scripture scholar and retired teacher who has been involved in adult faith development for many years. He has also written commentaries on the Sunday readings and published The Sign: Reading the Gospel of John (2018).
