Module Description

This module is designed to enrich your visits to galleries at home and abroad. Starting in classical Greece, we will explore the development of western art in its various epochs and movements – including early Christian art, Renaissance, Baroque, Romanticism, and Naturalism. We will explore the history and the crucial ideas that inform the images. Gallery visit included.

John O’Riordan: BA (UCD) in Art History, English and History, MA in Art History (UCD). He has many years experience of teaching Art History in third level and adult education.
