Module Description

We stand on the shoulders of giants. Our faith today has been shaped by some of the greatest theologians and spiritual writers down through the centuries. This module explores a who’s who of spirituality such as Hildegard of Bingen, Ignatius of Loyola, Thérèse of Lisieux, Thomas Merton, T.S. Eliot, Richard Rohr and many more. While setting them in their historical and theological contexts, it will also explain why they have enduring significance for our spirituality today.

John Scally: PhD, lectures in Theology in TCD and was a secondary school teacher for 20 years. He is the author of over 40 books. His most recent book is ‘Inspiration for all Seasons: Celtic Wisdom for Today’.
