Module Description

This course provides a basic introduction to the lives and key works of artists such as Bellini, Mantegna, Titian, Veronese and others. We will be looking at Venice itself and how it has influenced its painters. This module is suitable for beginners who would like to explore Venice – “La Serenissima” with some of its most famous paintings.

Ruth Lockhart: MA in Art History, BA in Fine Art and Translation, native German speaker, has taught in third-level and adult education for over 25 years. She also works as a painter in her own studio.
