Module Description

A main objective of Catholic schools is to serve their students through the development of a vision of Catholic education and overseeing its implementation in their schools. This is a challenging task in an increasingly secular society. Two fundamental questions Catholic schools must face are: Who are we? In an era when all students in a Catholic school can no longer be presumed to be from practising Catholic families, how do we explain ourselves as Catholic schools? It will feature contributions from Tommie Gorman and others.

John Scally: PhD, lectures in Theology in TCD and was a secondary school teacher for 20 years. He is the author of over 40 books. His most recent book is ‘Inspiration for all Seasons: Celtic Wisdom for Today’.
