Module Description

The religiously unaffiliated (categorised NONE in the Census) represent the fastest growing faith in Ireland. They reject any form of institutionalised religion, but most of them are no atheists either. They say “I am spiritual, but not religious.” What do they mean by that? What are their beliefs? This might well be the religion of the future, especially among young people, and it will challenge the Christian churches.

Yvonne Luven: Dr. phil., studied Theology, German Philology, Eastern European History and Comparative Religion and is a qualified teacher of German as a foreign language with many years of experience. She has published in the fields of religious studies, history and folklore and has taught in third-level (Irish School of Ecumenics) and adult education.
