Often it seemed the role of women in the Church was to be seen and not heard. This series looks at the remarkable women who have made a major contribution to the Church and society but whose names are not well known – like the woman who founded a religious order when she visited a dentist and the Irish nun who faced down the British army. We will look too at women who are often misunderstood from Mary Magdalene to Therese of Lisieux.
