Module Description

If the God in whom we believe is a God who saves, theology must be primarily about faith that seeks or hopes for liberation. What does it mean to have faith in God for those billions of poor who are struggling for their survival? What does God mean for women who are oppressed? Who is Christ for those who face racial discrimination? What does it mean to believe in a God of Creation in the age of climate change? This module attempts to address these questions by exploring emerging liberation, feminist, black, queer and eco-theologies.

Jude Lal Fernando is Assistant Professor in Intercultural Theology and Interreligious Studies at the School of Religion and Director of the Centre for Post-Conflict Justice, TCD.
